Canadian Recording Artiste Eligibility 1.
The
Canadian MAJA Awards Recording Category is open to: 2.
All
Artistes/Performers entering the Awards acknowledge and profess the Gospel as
the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ, the son of God (John 3:14-18, 1
John 4:2). 3.
The
Awards are open to all novices, professionals and veteran Gospel Artistes/Performers.
Employees of the MAJA Awards are not eligible to enter any of the Awards
categories. 4.
Age
Requirements for the Children & Youth Performers: 5.
There
is NO age limitation for Adults (21 years and over) entering the Awards. 6. Each Recording ARTISTE/Performer can be nominated for as many Awards as eligibility permits (ie: 1 ARTISTE can be nominated for Young Performer of the Year, Best Female Vocalist & Best Southern Gospel).
Application & Submissions 7.
All
Artistes entering as “Canadian Gospel Recording Artistes” must complete the
Official MAJA Awards Application for Recording Artistes. 8.
Currently
there is NO
registration fee to participate in the Awards. 9.
By
submitting an application the ARTISTE/Performer agrees to abide by the rules
of the AWARDS Organization and or its parent company, its Executives and the
decisions of Judges. 10.
For
Recording Artistes to be eligible for a Music Award nomination, Artistes
should mail their CDs -DVDs post marked no later than March 31st,
to The MAJA Awards, 2901 Bayview Ave. 11.
Recording
applicants must submit 3 copies of their albums/DVDs. Please ensure that all
are clearly labeled with the Artistes name, length of songs and contact information. 12.
Recording
Artistes albums must have been produced between the periods of January 1st of
the previous year and March 31st of the current year. Any recordings
completed after March 31st will only be eligible for submission in the
following year. 13.
It
is understood that all Artistes/performers, composers/producers and attendees
consent to the release of the use of
their photos, biographies and names that may appear on any television,
internet, radio, newspaper, magazines, billboards or in any videos for sale
and all promotional materials. 14.
All
materials submitted to the
Awards will not be returned and become the property of the MAJA
Awards (including and not limited to CDs, photos and video/dvds).
15.
Artistes/Performers
not complying with these rules outlined by the MAJA Awards Organization will
automatically be disqualified. 16.
Incomplete,
inaccurate or misleading registration information may result in
disqualification at any stage of the Canadian National Gospel Song Festival,
Gospel Star and the Awards Presentations. 17.
DEADLINE:
All information must be typed or printed clearly on the MAJA Award
registration form provided online and sent to the MAJA Award National Office
on or before March 31st 18.
All
recording or non-recording Artistes must submit a valid and clear photograph
of the individual, group or choir. Pictures and/or CD’s will not be returned.
19.
Applicant
must provide church affiliation including name of Church, name of Pastor,
Church address, telephone number and e-mail address with application. AWARDS Definitions The following are words which have been defined and
will be used by the MAJA Awards Organization for the purpose of the running
the Canadian National Gospel Song Festival & Awards Presentation. Evaluation
Recording Nominees will be judged according to the following
