There are 3 categories to choose from:
To submit an application, choose the category in which you would like to compete by clicking on the appropriate link below. Please read the eligibility requirements along with the rules and definitions. The application forms are located at the bottom of the page.
Applications for the annual Canadian MAJA Awards open October 1st and closes March 31st. The MAJA Awards, Canada's premier red carpet gospel awards gala, invites all recording and emerging gospel artistes to submit their applications to participate in the annual Maja gospel awards. The MAJA Awards organization promotes cultural diversity and embraces all denominations.
Entry Deadline: "Recording Artistes" March 31st annually.
Registration Deadline: "Gospel Star" March 31st annually.
Submissions Deadline: "Canadian National Gospel Song Festival" March 31st annually.
*Anyone who lives outside of the GTA can mail their demo for Audition.
GOSPEL STAR (Gospel's Alternative to American/Canadian Idol)
All non-recording/emerging artistes must e-mail their contact information (name, address, and telephone number) as well as the name of their musical style (rap, rock, jazz, praise and worship etc.) to the MAJA communication department at stephanie@majaawards.com. Applicants will be required to perform at an audition concert at a date to be announced. A professionally taken photo of yourself,must be included with application.

RECORDING ARTISTES
To be eligible for nomination, all recording artists must submit three copies of their latest recording to the MAJA head office no later than March 31st. ( late entries are strongly discouraged). Please fill out an application for the Recording Artistes category and mail along with your CDs and DVDs. A professionally taken photo of yourself must be included with application ....

NATIONAL GOSPEL SONG FESTIVAL.
This category encourages original song writing, and awards singer and composer. The winning entry will be crowned Canada's National Gospel Song of the year. Applicants must submit a CD with one song no longer than four minutes in length. This song must be an original song written by or for the applicant. (The song should not be adapted).Song must not be previously released to the public on any form of recording. Song should not receive previous air play on Radio-TV, internet or other and should not be sung at any public or private event until the MAJA exercise is completed. Three copies of the original song should be mailed to MAJA'S head office no later than March 31st each year. Please fill out an application for the Canadian National Song festival category, to be mailed along with your CDs and a professionally taken Photo of yourself .... more
