Applications & Submissions
- There are 2 different application
forms which must be submitted
pertaining to:
 Canadian
National Gospel Song Competition
Maja
Awards Presentation (Application for Recording Artists or
Gospel Star Categories).
- There is NO registration
fee to participate in the 2003 Maja Awards.
- By submitting an application the
Artist/Performer agrees to abide by the rules of the Maja
Organization and or its parent company, its Executives and
the decisions of Judges.
- Gospel Star applicants (Non-Recording
Artists) must register for an Open Audition time slot. If
you live within Ontario you must attend the Open Auditions.
If you live outside of Ontario, submitting a demo will be
sufficient as a substitute for your Open Audition. Those
auditioning do not have to present demos.
Demo Procedure: when submitting a demo
it must consist of 2 short songs no longer than 5 minutes
for each song (the first song on your demo will carry the
most weight during the evaluations of the judges) 3 copies
of your demo must be clearly labelled with the Artists name,
the length of the songs and contact information
- Recording applicants must submit
3 copies of their albums. Please ensure that albums are
clearly labelled with the Artists name, the length of the
songs and contact information.
- Recording Artists’ albums
must have been produced between the periods of January 31,
2000 and March 31, 2003. Any recordings completed after
March 31, 2003 should be submitted next year in the Maja
Awards 2004.
- It is understood that all artists/performers,
composers/producers and attendees consent to release the
use of their photos, biographies and names that may appear
on any television/internet, radio, newspaper/magazines,
billboards or in any videos for sale and all promotional
materials.
- All material submitted to the
Maja Awards will not be returned and become property of
the Maja Awards (including and not limited to Cassettes,
CDs, photos and video).
- Artists/Performers not complying
with these rules outlined by the Maja Awards Organization
will automatically be disqualified.
- Incomplete, inaccurate or misleading
registration information may result in disqualification
at any stage of the Canadian National Gospel Song Competition,
Gospel Star and the Awards Presentations.
- DEADLINE: All
information must be typed or printed clearly on the Maja
Award 2003 registration form provided online and sent to
the Maja Award National Office on or before Monday June
30, 2003.
Please
ensure that you have completed the correct application form.
 Applications
must be postmarked no later than Monday June 30, 2003.
Applications
sent after Monday June 30, 2003 will not be accepted.
